Toon Times

On Friday 23rd November, Year 9 students from All Saints college went on a journey into Newcastle United's history. The students sorted artefacts from the clubs archives into a living timeline of the club's past. It was an amazing opportunity to get hands on with the past. From wooden studs that were nailed to boots, to a Premiership shirt worn by Les Ferdinand, it was interesting to see how much has changed in the game. However, as we excitedly enjoyed our tour around the stadium, it became clear that young people's passion for the Magpies is one thing that has not changed.

Big Ideas

Yr 9 Students spent two days with Big Ideas at Sunderland last week.

The task was to create a new brand of chocolate bar which would be sold over the Christmas period.

Students worked in small teams over two days on a number of tasks which ended in a professional sales pitch.

After a gruelling two days of competiton the winners were Laighton Charlton, Paul Todd, David Gregg & Lee Telfer.

Well done to all students involved.
