"DEEFEENCE, DEEFEENCE"

Sports Enterprise Challenge

Yr 10 - 13 have again been involved in the Sports Enterprise Project, where cohorts of young students are trained to stage and implement a live event at a major sporting venue, under the direct mentoring and supervision of Sam & Paul Blake.

The project aims to encourage students to get involved in Enterprise using Basketball as a vechicle. Students have benefited from numerous lessons delivered in college and also were given the chance to put the work from the classroom into practice at the event night.

Two teams from Yr 11 "The Geordie Blasters and Roar" were given a budget of £300 to source and / or design products and sell them apprentice style to customers on game night.

Yr 13 as part of their Event Management BTEC unit, were given the responsibility of planning and organising the whole event, from Marketing, Sales, Finance, Human Resource Planning and Operations.
